Michelle Naccarati-Chapkis strongly believes that community conversations and collaboration are essential to fostering innovation. She believes a multi-sector approach is necessary to address the UN's sustainable development goals and ensure a healthier planet.
As the Executive Director of Women for a Healthy Environment, Michelle has over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. In her current role, she leads the organization's education and advocacy efforts to prevent human health issues linked to environmental exposures. Michelle's organization provides access to reliable scientific information, tools for citizen advocacy, and educational workshops and events to inform the community on environmental risks. Under Michelle's leadership, the organization has established programs focused on healthy homes, schools, and communities. Michelle's experience working with various stakeholders including communities, non-profits, government agencies, and corporations has provided her with a unique perspective on the importance of collaboration to achieve innovative solutions.
